Congratulations to Lee and the Country Quilters Weekend Committee for organising a weekend full of fun and enjoyment in a very pretty part of Victoria.

The weekend  was registered with Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea as a fund raiser for Breast Cancer Research with two raffles running ( one for a beautiful quilt by Annette Coates, and the second for  lots of lovely quilty things. ) and a gold coin donation for entry  to the exhibition.
I’d like to thank   my group of students, Robyn Legg, Mariette Presley, Pat Sehested, Viv Costigan, Jane Kibble, Merilyn Murphy, Gail Spark, Janette Gordon, Anne Ibbs, Lorraine Haig, Wendy Fletcher, Diane Langton and Annette Brown. They were great  fun to work with and came up with, three lovely quilts and lots of amazing pieces of fabric. Special thanks too to hostess Val Pratt.

The Country Quilters Weekend.

In the larger area of the Cohuna Bowling Club, I had a  fantastic group working   painting silk on day one.  On day two they had a choice of making a little quilt from the fabrics they painted the day before  or  more  painting on  silk and homespun.
