My fascination with photography began at primary school when my father, an enthusiastic photographer, would set up his enlarger on the kitchen bench at night. He and my mother would mysteriously shine a light on a blank piece of paper and when this paper was dropped into a tray of funny smelling water, a picture would magically appear bit by bit.   A year or two later I was allowed to stay up and watch, and sometimes help, as pictures from our life would magically appear. As a teenager I got right into all aspects of photography and later I married Tony who was right into photography (and movies) too.  

The excitement of taking photographs and spending hours in the darkroom creating and manipulating  images is something you never lose. Now it’s within reach of anyone with a computer.   What a fabulous world!
